• William's will 6 Dec 1734 was witnessed by John and David Rice
• John Rice Feb 1734 had a legal action with William, David, Shadrack, and Miacajah Rice
• Elizabeth m. 2nd Robert Clark who produced William's will.
• The 4 sons were probalby all 21 when the will was written and the sons are probably listed in order of birth with William Jr the oldest.
• Shortly after William Srs death a William buys land in Orange Co on 29 July 1736 "deed from George II, etc., to William Rice, for four hundred acres of land in the forks of the Rapid Ann, in the county of Orange, beginning at four pines on a point on a branch of Dark Run." The deed is signed by William Gooch. The Gooches lived in Hanover and many moved to Caswell Co NC. This land was surveyed 26 December 1734. It is not proven this William is William Jr.

The following is pure speculation

There is no proof of what happeneing to each of William's sons. The following trees are based on the names both of the individuals and the names of their children. We do know some of Thomas and Marcy descndants went to South Carolina although the suggestion was Union Co SC. What we need is direct male descndants to take a Y-DNA test to rule them in or out.
