His inventory is on page 285 but he did not leave a will. Apparently he was killed by Indians 30 miles beyond Ochanechee (near present Clarksville, Mecklenburg Co) along with Thomas Skippy, John Miller, Hugh Cassell, John Sturivant, and John Davis mentioned in a letter of William Byrd of Westover to Thomas Grendon in England. He may have had some trade with the Indians.
